It looks like Nyack Hospital is going to become the latest hospital in the Lower Hudson Valley to expand its emergency room. Hospital officials won’t say yet exactly what they are planning to do to the department. But they will discuss the plans at an event Tuesday with the Nyack Chamber Commerce.
Nyack’s cross town competitor, Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, opened the newest phase of its $30 million emergency department expansion in February. St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers has plans for an expansion. Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco completed a $28 million ER construction project a year ago. Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt and White Plains Hospital did the same.
Business members and the public are invited to attend the event Tuesday’s event at 6 p.m., in the Krutz Auditorium at Nyack Hospital, 160 North Midland Avenue in Nyack. Guests should enter through the main entrance and check in at the front desk. Light fare and refreshments will be served.
